Last Year
@media 2007 featured presentations from the likes of Jesse James Garret, Jon Hicks, Håkon Wium Lie, Andy Clarke, Jason Santa Maria, Molly Holzschlag, Dan Cederholm, and Joe Clark.
Taking place in London for a third year, and also hopping across the pond for the first time, @media 2007 proved as successful, if not more so, than previous years.
The photographs that are randomly rotated on each page of the site are taken from last year’s events (including @media Ajax, our first specialist event). The accompanying quotes are taken solely from the London leg of @media 2007.
8/10!
When asked to rate their overall conference experience, @media 2007 (London) attendees gave an average score of more than eight out of ten.
We really do work hard on, and take pride in, every detail, from the quality of content through to the selection of venue, catering, and after-parties. Most seem to agree that we did pretty well last year, but there’s always room for improvement…
Better every year
We carefully read, listened, and otherwise digested suggestions for improvement, and we have acted (and continue to act) on that feedback to make @media 2008 the best @media to date and continue to lay claim to being one of the best, highest quality web conferences going.
Some commented that a few of the @media 2007 sessions were too similar to those at the previous year’s event. This year we have taken a fresh approach to the schedule, offering a structure and collection of sessions that is truly different, without compromising on quality or losing the focus of the conference.
This year’s venue was also chosen with last year’s feedback in mind and offers more comfortable, tiered seating, a single social/catering space (rather than several disperse areas), and a much more interesting location.
A majority of people found the food tasty, but this time around we will try to make it a bit better suited to a bustling social conference!
